Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use Fable. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that we reasonably believe belong to individuals under 18.

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

When using Fable, you agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws.
• Post, transmit, or solicit content that is sexually explicit, pornographic, or obscene.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users or attempt to do so through AI characters.
• Attempt to generate content that promotes violence, hatred, discrimination, or harm against any individual or group.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
• Attempt to circumvent content moderation filters or safety mechanisms.
• Use automated scripts, bots, or other means to access the App beyond its intended use.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App.
• Upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights of others.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violations of these rules, with or without prior notice.

• Fable uses artificial intelligence to generate character responses. These responses are generated algorithmically and do not represent the views, opinions, or endorsements of Fable.
• AI-generated content may be inaccurate, inappropriate, or unexpected despite our moderation efforts. You use the App at your own discretion.
• You should not rely on AI-generated content for medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice.
• We continuously work to improve content safety but cannot guarantee that all AI outputs will be free from errors or objectionable material.

• You retain ownership of characters and content you create on Fable.
• By publishing a character, you grant Fable a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, distribute, and promote that character within the App and on our marketing materials.
• All user-created characters are subject to review. We may remove characters that violate our content policies without notice.
• You represent that any content you create does not infringe on the intellectual property or other rights of any third party.

• Fable offers a free tier with limited daily messages and an optional paid subscription ("Fable+") with enhanced features.
• Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Payment terms are governed by the respective platform's policies.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription through your device settings or the respective app store.
• Refunds are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store in accordance with their refund policies. We do not process refunds directly.
• We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price change takes effect.

The App, including its design, branding, logos, text, graphics, and software, is owned by Fable and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App without our prior written consent.

• You may delete your account at any time through the App settings or by contacting [email protected]. See our Delete Account page for details.
• We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behaviour, or if required by law.
• Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Data deletion follows the timeline described in our Privacy Policy.

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FABLE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, AI-GENERATED CONTENT, OR THESE TERMS.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

You agree to indemnify and hold Fable harmless from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting an update within the App or on our website. Your continued use of Fable after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you disagree with any changes, you should stop using the App and delete your account.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
